Print Design Collection

These projects are the highlights of my print-focused assignments. They showcase my understanding and love of typography, layout, and brand identity in physical formats. Each piece reflects my love for print design.

Custom Typeface

This is my custom typeface, Rune Veil. I created it from scratch and wanted it to have a sketched look to it, while still holding the integrity of a typical serif font. The piece in yellow is an example of how it might be used, I made a square book cover.

Typographic Posters

A poster duo that explores classic typefaces through type heavy compositions

Soap Bands

Soap belly band designed for a handmade soap brand. The soaps are made for a flower shop in my hometown, so I wanted to keep the design simple, yet organic. I also designed the logo and about 10 or so other belly bands for the same company.

Fantasy Menu

This project was a menu for a fictional tavern. I wanted to blend storytelling and traditional print design in a very obvious way. The menu combines textures, stylized typography, and a whimsical border to try and evoke the feeling of a rest stop in a fantasy world.

Letters, Envelopes, & Business Cards

A cohesive stationery set and the business cards that go along with it.

Printing Press Spread

A two page print spread that explores the history and impact that the printing press and Gutenburg had on the world.

New Typography Layout

A four page editorial layout about The New Typography which features fun colors and shapes that keeps the content legable, but is also visually interesting.

Closing Thoughts

Print design tells a story that digital cannot replace. This collection demonstrates my passion for typography, layout design, and the physical relationship between print and its viewers. From type design to stationery each piece was created out of my love for typography and the physicality of print.
